The following clinical studies have shown the SprainCare has benefits for Acute Soft Tissue Injuries.

Efficacy study:

SprainCare is designed for acute soft tissue injury. and its effectiveness has been thoroughly studied.  In a clinical study conducted in China, 345 patients with various types of muscle sprain or strain received SprainCare treatment and their symptoms were carefully recorded before and after the treatment.

1.       Criteria for patient selection:

All patients were diagnosed with acute soft tissue injury involving the ankle, knee, elbow, shoulder, lumbar or wrist (Table 1).  All injuries were accompanied by pain, inability to move and swelling.  There were no open wounds or bone fractures in the affected areas.

2.       Treatment protocol:

Patients received SprainCare treatment and no other treatment was included in the study.  SprainCare was applied to affected areas 3 times a day, 5ml for each application.  All patients were followed up for 7 days. 

3.       Efficacy:

Efficacy was evaluated by using symptom scores composed of the severity of pain, swelling, tenderness, joint instability and stiffness.

1)      Most effective:  all symptoms were eliminated, or a reduction of the total symptom score by more than 50%;

2)      Improvement: symptoms were relieved, symptom score reduced 30-45%;

3)      Inefficacy: symptoms score was reduced by less than 30%.

This study showed the most effective rate of SprainCare is 62.4%, and improvement rate is 28.7%.  The total effective rate is 91.1% in ½-3 days.  No side effect was observed in the study.
